At Kirw«c market on Friday the yarding o£ sheep nnd lambs totalled 2900, of which 1700 were in tho fat pens, lambs accounting lor 1230. About half were light aud unfinished, the balance being good to prime freezers. Tho yarding of wothern was confined to one small lot, tho balance of fats being made np : of.'owes. In tho store pens there were 400 crossbred ewes, 100 merino ewes, 8-3 crossbred wethers. 118 merino wethers, and 400 lambs. There was a moderate attendance. Competition for till fats wn.s strong at full rates, all lots changing hands, but stores only reeciv<vl« moderate attention, ami the bulk of the yarding was passed at auction. Prices were:—Fat lambs l"is Od to 17s lUd, H'j,ht and unltuished 13s ♦id to Us 101. light-weight wethers l-fis Id, fat crossbred o«'es 1 is 'id v> I3s lid. inferior Ss to 9* 4il, fat merino ewes Oci 4A. two-tooth half bred . wethers 12s 3d, six and eight-tcoth crossbred owes Ms ~>d (balance of cwv.s withdrawn), failing-mouth merino owes 4s Gd to -Is 'Ml, merino wethers 2s 9d, v;ip»». lambs 12s 9d. storo wether lambs 8s" 2d. ov:c lamb.; (small) 10s 2<l (a lino of 801 was withdrawn at 13? 4d).
