PRESIDENT'S CUP.
The meeting of the Christehurch A and B teams, after a strenuous game, resulted in a win for the A's by Iti points to nil. For the winners. Phillips, Russell, Strachey and Boon score-1 tries, 'l>e Mans, converting two. Mr G. N. Ormandy referred. Merivale defeated Linwood A on tho Show Grounds, by G points to 3. Bailey and Waite scored tries for Merivale. and Champ for the losers. Mr A. Alexander was referee. Albion A defeated Marist. Bros, on the Boys' High .School Ground by G points io ri!. 'Cameron ami Sincock scored tries. Mr H. Seward was referee! Canterbury College defeated Albion Bby ; 39 points to nil on the South Park*. Tries for the winners were scored by S. Andrews (2). R. Beattic (2), Patterson (2), Condliffe (2), Mooie. Walsh and Gordon (one each). Cartwright converted two goals, and Patterson one. Mr J. S. Ellis was referee. Old Boys easily defeated Kaiapoi or. North Park b.v 24 points to nil. Hickn.ott ('2), Wilson ('I) scored trie 3. S. Luttreil converted three tries and kicked two penalty goals. Mr L. Hardie was referee. Linwood B surprised their supporters by defeating Lyttelton on the North Park by 3 points, a try scored by Nightingale, to nil. Mr D. Woods was referee: Both tho Boys' High School and Christ's College teams will not be seen playing for a few weeks owing to their winter holidays. Sydenham a bye. Jvaiapoi defeated Canterbury College by 14 points to 11- For Kaiapoi Pullan, Adamson and Hayman scored. Pearce converted one try, and kicked a renalty goal. Mr Templeton was referee.
