The Kan-_iora High School Hoard met on Tuesday evening- Present:— "Messrs 11. Ball (chairman). H. Boyd, E. ft. Good. R. Collie and C. I. Jennings. ' Mr T. 11. Crc.-wwell, Principal of the school, reported tho roll number for tho term to havo been 107. The action of the chairman in appointing Miss V. Elder second assistant mistress was confirmed. Notification was received of the re-appointment to the Hoard of Mr H. Boyd by the Bpard of Education, Mr It. Collio by the Government, and Mr C. I. Jennings by the Governors of Canterbury Colle_ic._" Tho Hoard signified its satisfaction at tho capable way in which the members of the t*taff had carried out their duties with one teacher short. Sympathy was expressed with Mr Cre-sswell in his recent bereavehient. Tho chairman and Messrs Boyd, Jennings and Cressweil wore appointed a sub-committee to attend to matters in connection with the technical department. Mr Good's retirement from the Mayoralty necessitating him relinquishing his seat on the Board, a hearty vote of thanks warpassed to him for his services.
