DARFIELD.
Tho annual tea-meeting and church social in connection with the Darfiold Presbyterian Church was held at Darfield on Monday evening. In spito of tho inclement weather, there was a big gathering of members and frionds. Tho Rev. Mr Pringlo presided over tho meeting. An excellent tea was served in the school, tho tables being presided over by Mesdames R. Reid, J. Reid, W. Symo. and Misses Mulholland, J. and- L. 'Read, Campbell, Syme, and Lloyd. After tho tea the evenino; was devoted to entertainment, which included an address by the Roy. Priiigle, and musical and instrumental items by Mrs Calder. and Misses J. Read, Clements,' Brown, and Mr McLean.
