United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. ■(Receiver! April 30th, 9.35 p.tn.) BRISBANE, April 30. A new four-storeyed building at the corner of Edward and Mary streets, and occupied by tho Queensland Agency as a wholesale dry-goods store, was destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at £45,000, tvhich in covered by insurance. A number of bluejackets from tho gunboat Gayundah were etanding on the roof of the adjoining building, assisting the Brigade, when part of the ■wall fell on thorn. Walter Oldham was killed .and Alexander Smith injured.
