AIR GEORGE INNES.
Mr George limes, whose death occurred on "Monday last, was born at Cuinnor. near Oxford. England. m in January, IS3I, and arrived in New Zealand by tho ship Fatiraa in ISol. Three years later he sailed to Sydney and thence to Melbourne, but after nearly two years' residence in Victoria he returned" to New Zealand, spending sis months in Nelson. Air Innes returned to Christchurch, where he had since resided, except for brief absences at Gabriel's Gully and the West Coast. Air limes, who followed the occupation of builder, retired from active business twenty-five years ago. He wa« twice married, bis second wife dying in September, PRO. By his first wife he left a family of two sons and three daughters. Deceased was a prominent member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, of which he was for many years an elder.
