NEW YORK, April 8. Mexican reports stste tjiat tji*j Mqdero Government is likely to fail. The country is facing debts amounting to 1,0(IQ,0(R),()00 -dollars, and claims hava been made by foreign investors for Joss due to the disturbed state of the country.
Efforts are being made to secure the* intervention of the United State*., but the latter is reluctant, because suspm--ions woukl be engendered in the other Central American Republics, which are already nope too well disposed towards the United States.
