The majority of the suffragettes wio were sent to gaol for declining to find sureties for their good behaviour, or until their trial, have been released, sureties having now been tendered.
Hundreds of apprentice engineers at Glasgow smashed the Women's Socal and Political Union's windows.
A thousand suffragettes belonginf to the Church and Nonconformist Leagues marched to Westminster, singing hymns. Some attended evensong in the Abbey, and others held a meeting in Trafalgar square.
