A tennis match between teams representing Rangiora and Amberiey was played at Ambedey on Saturday, and resulted in a win for tho home team by 24 games. The following are the detailed result*, the Rangiora plnycr3 beintr named first in each instance: —
Ladies' Singles.—Miss E. Scott beat Misa Bristow, 62; Miss Foster lost to Miss Boddington, 6-2; Misa Walker beat Mrs Boddington, 6-1; Misa I. Scott lost to Miss Rhodes. 6-3; Miss Barton beat Mrs F. Coleman, 6-3.
Men'e Singles.—M. Pinfold lost to Blackwell, fl-4; Innes beat Boddington, 9-8; Barton lo3t to F. Coleman, 9-0; Carmody lost to Thompson, 9-0.
Ladies' Doub'es.—Misses E. Scott and Foster beat Mis3es Bristow and Boddington, 6-5; Mioses Y/alker and Barton, lost to Mcsdaines Boddington acd Co'ieman, 6-3; Misses I. Scott and Mehrtens beat Misses Rhodes and DaUiel, 6-1.
Mend Doubles—Pinfold and Innes lost lo Blackwell acd Mason, 9-5; Wilson and Barton lost to Boddington and Coleman, 9-5; Cormody and Wascn lost to A. Blackwell and Pyle, 9-6.
Combined Doubles.—Miss Scott and Pinfold beat Miss Bristow and Blackwell, 9-6; Miss Fester and Innes beat Miss Boddington and Mason, 6-3; Miss Mehrlens and Wason lost to Miss Daziel and Thompson, 6-4. *
