PROPOSED VISIT OF TEAM FROM MELBOURNE. j (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) I WELLINGTON, March 16; The secretary of the Wednesday Cricket Association her© has written to Invercargill, Dunedin, Timaru, Christchurch, Palmerston North, Napier, Wanganui, and Auckland, stating tl-at Mr H. George, a leading member of the local Association, is leaving for Melbonrne, where he will endeavour to arrange for a Melbourne team to visit the Dominion next season, to play a match ■with each mid-week association. The latter asks if the associations will arrange matches in their respective cpntres, and what cuarantee they can offer.
