After a furlong had been co\ered, Queen o' Scots appeared to have a good lead, while Takipono, Flaith, Desert Rose, Captain White and Obsono wero most prominent if the others. Obsono bad an advantage at tho distance post, with Captain White, Popinjay, Desert Rose and Mountain Princess all in line. A good start was effected, from which tho colours of Coromanael, Undecided, Dearest, and Jargon were most, prominent. Coromandel led past the stand from Dearest and Lady Menschikoti, with Jcdecided coming up fast on tho outside. St. Petersburg fell opposite the stand. Coromandel was going great guns all the way down tho baok stretch, where Undecided, while contesting the lead, was bumped right back to the rear. Coromandel, Dearest, Uhlando, Midnight Sun, and Goodwin Park wero almost in line hallway down the straight, and a .magnificent finish was witnessed.
