VIOLENT STRIKERS
SHOTS EXCHANGED WITH
POLICE
NEW YORK, February 2<5. At Lawrence, Massachusetts, shots were fired at the police from a tenement house during a strikers' affray. This led to police reprisals. Thousands of strikers paraded the streets singing. Police reinforcements wero called out, and dozens of arrests wero effected. Two men were wounded during the shooting.
