J. C. WILLIAMSON'S DRAMATIC COMPANY.
The intelligent and discerning patrons of the drama in New Zealand appreciate good dramatic plays only, and in arranging for tho production of "The Speckled Band," and "Alias Jimmy Valentino," -which are to bo produced, each for-three nights only, during the company's limited six-night season, commencing in the Theatre Royal on Wednesday next, January 3rd. tho J. C. Williamson, Ltd., firm has kept this important fact in view. Theso dramas will bo presented by what is. claimed to be a powerful company. The opening piece will "bo Conan Doyle's great detective drama "Tho Speckled Band," which recently created quite a sensation in Australian dramatic circles. The principals will include Mr William Desmond, the young American actor who was here early in the year as leading man with Miss Katherine Grey, Miss Dorothy Dix, an actress from tho Lyric Thoatro, London, and Mr Gaston Mervale. a very well-known Australian actor. Tho box plans for the two plays will bo opened at Milner and Thompson's this morning at 9 o'clock.
