Tho Banks Peninsula A. and P. Association's 6how will bo held at Little River on the 21st inst., and entries close next Saturday. The election of one member to represent tiie Eliesmere and Spring&tun County Councils on the North Canterbury 'Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, will be held on the 15th inst., and nominations close on the 9th inst. Tho election of Fix moml>ers to tho Ellosmere County Council will bo held on the 15th inst., and nominations close on the 9th inst. Special cars will leave Cathedral squaro to-day for tho Metropolitan Trotting Club's course, Addington, every ten minutes, from 10.10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In connection with the Public iSchools' (.ports, entries for the Old Boys' 220 yards handicap will be received up to the loth inst. An election to fill two annual vacancies on the Board of Governors of the Canterbury Agricultural College, will be held on ilonday, December 4th, and nominations close on the 27th inst. One member is to be elected by Agricultural and Pastoral Associations, and one by the Canterbury members of the Legislative Council.
