WEST-HAYWARD.
This week's programme at His Majesty's Theatre is noticeable for the variety ot subjects with which it deals, and the clearness of the individual films. The eecnic film showing English tourists in the Ozu Jliver district in Japan, was excellent, and the same remark might be applied to the scenes d ';il;ng with the Pei-ian town of Errivas, with its studies of men of many races. This week '"Foolshcad" is shown as a failure at the art of hypnotism, and of course he Ls funny, "liis First Duel," an American picture making merry at the expense of French affairs of honour is amusing also. The call for tho dramatic is answered by " The Colonel's Son." a melodrama of the Civil War, "The Backwo xl-.man's Suspicion." a story of jealousy, and *'A Quaker Mother," which tells how a daughter was enabled to resist temptation. Tho programme will be repeated to-night,. Last evening it was appreciated by what was practically a full houso.
