WAIAU.
Tho monthly meeting of tho A. and P. Association was held on Saturday last, Mr W. T. Rutherford presiding over a good attendance. A motion passed at last meeting alloting a special prize to an exhibitor in the halfbrcd shoop classes was rescinded, and the prize awarded to another exhibitor who had lodged a protest. A letter was read from the secretary of tho Railway League, inviting the Association to send a delegate -with tho deputation to Wellington. The vice-president (Mr J. B. Crainpton) was appointed to represent tho Association. Correspondence was read relative to erecting .1 public noticehoard at the Post Office. Tho necessary permission having been obtained, a committee, consisting of Messrs S. Baker (convener), T. M. Marr, J. It. Crocker, C. Netting, and tho secretaries of tho various local bodies were appointed to carry out the scheme. The secretary of the Agricultural and Pastoral Conference wrote, requesting ad vie© ac to whether tho Association intended sfending delegates and remits to tho conference. It was decided not to bo represented at tho conference.
