THE INSURANCE BILL.
SOCIALISTS DEMAND ITS WITHDRAWAL.
LONDON. July 30. At a meeting hold under tha auspices of the Independent Labour Party and tho Fabian Society, it was resolved to demand tho withdrawal of the National Insuranco Bill. Mr P. Snowdon, M.P., chairman of tho Independent Labour Party, said that tho Bill was mcagro, pettifogging, and ineffective. If Mr Lloyd Georgo was unwilling to add to tho burden of taxation, it was evident that Socialists and social reformers must part company. Mr Georgo Lansbury, M.P., said that Mr Lloyd Georgo professed to love tho people, but at tho same time ho was tumbling over himself to savo the pockets of the rich.
