THE UNIONIST "STALWARTS."
Many Unionist clubs encourage Lord Ilalsbury to continue his opposition to tho passage of tho Bill. The "stalwarts" have arranged meetings, the first of Vhich is to be hold on Friday, to protest against tho surrender of the Lords' amendments. Mr Pike Pease, Unionist M.P. for Darlington, addressing the Primrose League, said that tho suggestion that tho Unionist Peers should vote for the Parliament Bill -was unthinkable. Mr Balfour, writing to his constituents, stated that tho country ought to thoroughly realise that tho Unionist Party did not acquiesce with the Radicals in tho uew Constitution, but regarded the modern Ministers' abuse of the prerogative as no less fatal than the King's abuse in olden times.
