THE DAVIS CUP CONTEST. PRELIMINARY ARRANGEMENTS.

A meeting of the Davis Cup Management Committee adopted the resolution of the New Zealand Association, recommending that the -challenge tie should be played in Christchurch. A sub-committee, consisting of Messrs Boss (convener), Harman, Wright, Aschman, Taylor, Gow, Cox. the chairman of the Management Committee, presidenie of the Canterbury, Wellington, Auckland, and Otago Associations, Mr Griffiths, and the president of the New Zealand Association at the time of the contest, was appointed to carry out the local arrangements. The financial arrangements were held over until further information was obtained from New Zealand. It was decided to ask Norman Brookes to act as cole selector of the Australasian team.
