Mr Batchelor, Minister of External Affairs for Australia, and twenty Federal members of Parliament, inspected Trafalgar square, tho Strand, and other sites for the Commonwealth offices. Almost all agreed to the Strand site.

Tho State Premiers havo agreed to recommend their respective Governments to combine in centralising the offices in one Australian building.
