MISHAP TO SIR JOSEPH WARD

While Sir Joseph Ward was proceeding to tho Imperial Conference, tho hood of the motor-car ho was in collapsed, cutting his face slightly. Tho wound was dressed, and he subsequently attended the Conference.
General Botha starts for. Kissingen, Germany, on July 13th. Sir Wilfrid Laurier sails for Canada on July Ist. Sir Joseph Ward and Lady Ward and tho Hon. Dr. Findlay join tho Ruapehu at Marseilles.
Lord Roberts inspected 1400 colonials at tho Duko of York's School at Chelsea. Thoy consisted chiefly of Canadians and South Africans. Lord Roberts recognised a number of men who fought in the Boer war.
Major Buckley took a party of troops, including some New Zealanders, to Birmingham, where they visited tho small arms factory, and afterwards Warwick Castlo.
