QUEENSLAND GRAIN FIGURES.
BRISBANE. June 10. The.following are tho figures for tho Queensland grain crop of 1910:—Maize, 10u.862 acres, 4,460,306 bushels—a record; wheat, 107,718 acres, 1,022,375 bushels; barley (malting), 3272 acres, 52,506 bushels; oats, 2537 acres, 52,506 bushels.
Tho following is a copy of a cablegram received by Messrs Dalgety and Company, Limited, Christchurch, from their London office, dated London, lotn June: —
Sheepskins.—As compared with closing rates of last sales, prices are par to id lower.
Frozen Meat.—Tho market for Now Zealand mutton and lamb is very firm and tending upwards. The demand runs principally on light weights. Tho market for 'New Zealand beef is very dull, and tho demand limited. Prices of chilled be«f are rather dearer. "Wo quote New Zealand prime crossbred lamb:—Canterbury heavy 42d, light sd; North Island heavy 4Jd, fight 43d. Now Zealand prime crossbred mutton:— Canterbury heavy 3gd, light 4d; North Island heavy 3id, light 3|d. New Zealand primo ox beef, fores 2jd, hinds 33d. Good average quality Australian crossbred lamb, heavy 4|d, light 4Jd.
