Thero is no improvement in London, and-the report from Is T enr York that the farmers in tho North-west aro expecting a record crop will tend to keep tho market easy. 1 Tho crops in the Northern Hemisphere will shortly be coming on the market, and the immediate future of prices will be governed by the way in which tho crops turn out.. Thero is very little wheat Offering locally, and buyers at the same time aro indifferent about making purchases. Thero are nior© oats now offering than has been tho case for sonio time past, bat few sales are being effected, as sellers aro asking about a penny more than buyers aro willing to pay. There is no change to report in chaff, and the average price still remains at 85s. Tho principal business doing is in fulfilment of forward sales, and to obtain supplies from 60s to 70s is being paid according to distance from port. New business is difficult to obtain. Auckland declines any offer of supplies at over 80s f.0.n.. as Oamaru is offering potatoes at 77s 6d, f.0.b., sacks in, and tho quality is reported to be factoryThe undermentioned arc tho prices paid to farmers, at country stations, free of commision, except where otherwise stated:— - Wheat. —Nominal. Barley.—Nominal. Ryegrass. —Italian, 3s 3d to 3s (3d. Perennial 3s 3d to 3s (3d, at country stations. ■Cocksfoot.—cd to 7d, on Peninsula. Beans. —3s 3d, at country stations. Peas.—Partridge 3s 6d to 3s Bd, Blue Prussians 6s 6d to 7s, White Ivories 5s to 5s 3d, at country stations. Flour.—£B 10s per ton. iiran.—£4 15s, local £4 10s, f.o.b. per ton. Pollard.—£6 per ion.
