The annual meetinji of the Canterbury Beekeoners , Association will be hold in the Trades Hall on nest Tuesday evening. .-.'..•' The ceremony of turning tho. first sod of tho public swimming baths afc West Eyreton will take placo -at 3 p.m. on Coronation Day. Railway arrangements for Coronation Day are announced in another part of this issue. *
A Coronation, tea meeting will take place at tho Salvation Army Barracks, victoria street, on Thursday, Coronation Day, at 4.30 p.m. This will t>e followed by a united Coronation musical entertainment at 8 p.m. The Canterbury drivers' Coronatioa ball will bo held in tho Alexandra Hall next Wednesday evening.
Tho North Canterbury Pigeon,nnd Canary Club's annual chow will bo held on July dth and 7th, and entries close on the 24th.inst. ■
A public meeting will be held in the Lincoln Library on Wednesday nest to discuss ways and means for "adding a public reading-room to the library as a Coronation, memorial.
Mr Arthur Lilly, A.R.C.0., will give an organ recital at St. Luke's next Wednesday.
Mr T. R. Cresswell, M.A., will 3ohver an illustrated lecture on the American Civil War in the St. Aibans Methodist schoolroom, Rujgby street, on Tuesday evening. ■■'■■
