ROTHERHAM
Miss Fraser, who has had charge ot tho Rotherham school for the past seven months.- lias had to resign to attend to a relative who is ill. On Thursday the pupils and friends, and members of the School Committee, assembled in the schoolroom to hid farewell to Miss Frasor. Mr J. Clark, chairman of the School Committee, presided, and voiced tho regrets of all present at the teacher's departure. Messrs Monro and Grey endorsed the chairman's remarks. Miss Myrtlo Mowatt, on behalf of tho girl pupils, begged Miss Frascr's acceptance of a silver mounted inkstand. Master Jack Hare, on bohalf of the hoy pupils, presented a diver shoo and glove set, and said all the boys regretted their teacher's departure. Miss Fraser thanked her pupils for their tokons of lovo and respect. Recitations wero given by Misses M. Mowat, M. Flintoft. and Joan Monro. Afternoon tea was handed round, and the children sang a few songs under tho guidance of Miss Fraser. The children gave throe cheers for Miss Fraser, and then bade her good-bye.- Miss Fraser has made herself very popular indeed, in the district.
