SATURDAY'S MARKETS.
About fifty horses were entered at Tattcrsall's on Saturday. Prices were : —Draughts up to £24 10s, harness horses £13 to £16, hacks £3 to £7. . There were exceptionally large entries of poultry, and the quality of the birds and the prices showed an improvement. Several excellent lines ot chickens sold at 6s to 7s 9d per pair Ducklings brought 3s 6d to 5s 6d, hens 2s to 4s 6d, roosters (chickens) 3s Id to 4s 7d. all at per pair. Pigs—Suckers and weaners brought 3s 9d to-9s (good sorts), stores 8s _d to 183 6d, porkere 37s (first-class). . The market was somewhat easier in store lines, but good qualities were in keen demand.
