FATALITIES AT A CHINESE LODGING-HOUSE.' United Preis Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received January Bth, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 7. A five-storey lodging-house in Chinatown, New York, was demolished by fire.
There wens six fatalities. One hundred Chinese jumped out terror-stricken when the outbreak started. Tho Electric Light Company's plant at Minneapolis was destroyed by fire. Tho city was without light for a whole night. An explosion of gas injured three people.
