There was a good attendance at the sales on Tuesday. Tho stock entry at tho yards included 600 fat sheep and about 800 stores, 120 cattle, and 160 pigs. Prices were: —Fat wethers 19s to 25s tkl, shorn 15s lOd; fat ewes 13s to 23s 3d; merino wethers 17s 9d : fat hoggets 16s to 19s; ewes and lambs, mixed ages, all counted, 8s to 9s; old merino ewes and lambs, all counted, 5s 3d to 6s 3d; sound-mouth crossbred ewes and lambs, all counted, 10s 9d; four-tooth wethers, shorn, 14s 3d. Cattle—fat heifers £7; fat tows £6 10s; yearlings to £2 os to £2 15s; springers £5 to £8 10s. Young cattle were easier in price, on account of the dry weather. Pigs—bnconers 40s to 555; porkers 25s to 30s; stores 14s to 265; small pigs 5s to 13s.
In the produce yards prices wero: — Heavy halt'bred sheep skins 10s, medium 7s 6d, lighter ss; merino skins 8s; lamb skins 7d; hogget skins os; calf skins 4s; hides 5d per lb; fleece wool 9d; crtitchings 6d; dead wool 7_d; fat ljd. Poultry— roosters 6s 6d per couple ; heus 4s 6d; pullets 5s 6d; geeso ss; turkeys lis a pair; ducks 5s 8cI; pigeons Is 6d. Chickwheat 3s a bushel; oats 2s 2d; barley 2s 4d; peas 4s 6d; kippled beans 3s Gd; grass seed 2s: bran 4s per sack; sharps 8s; neamcal. lis; pigmeal 7s 6d; potatoes 14s: onions ld per lb; straw chaff 40s; oatsheaf chaff 80s; apples 3s 6d per case.
