"PETER PAN."
To-morrow evening, at the Theatre Royal, playgoers will be introduced to '•.Peter Pan," a play which has been described as one of the most delightfully original arid charming of the present time. It must not be supposed beoause tho main theme of "Peter Pan" is so marvellously interesting to children that it is not also equally as fascinating to tho children of larger growth. The testimony of Mr W. T. Stead on this subject is emphatic. He found it possessed for him the same intense interest and delight with which it was seen by the smallest boy or girl. Hence the popularity of the play, which in-England has amounted to quite a furore. Mr J. C. Williamson, in sending "Peter Pan*' to us, has been careful to provide for the most essential element of success, viz., tbo selection of suitable interpreters. In this respect, judging from what is said elsewhere, he has succeeded admirably. Miss Lizettc Parkes, who sustains' the title role, is stateel to be a perfectly ideal representative of the character. All the other narts are equally well filled, and thus the first representation hero of the play should take olace under the most favourable auspices. The mounting anel scenery of the niece are spoken of as being excellent. "The first matinee will bo given on Thursday afternoon next. The plan of reserved seats will be open at the Dresden tomorrow, to-day being a close holiday.
