THE CITY STREETS.

TO THE EDITOR OF *' TBB FBKSS."

Sir, —"Ratepayer's" letter formed a very admirable corollary to your article upon this same question, and I am sure that a great many of those who have to pay tor the maintenance of the streets will support his contentions. We have suffered quite long enough from municipal apathy in the matter of our streets, and it is more than cheering to find that there is a possibility of this reproach bein__ removed at an early date. With a progressive party in the Council determined upon reform, and the assistance of. the Press, we may reasonably hope to see an organised and vigorous campaign conducted, having for its object the provision of well-formed streets for the city.—Yours, etc., CENTRAL WARD.
