CONTROL OF CABLE COMPANIES.

OTTAWA, April 27
The Senate- has adopted the report of tho Special Committee on the Bill introduced by the Postmaster-General for placing the cable companies under the control of the Railway Commission. Tho Bill has been amended to permit the Commercial Cable Company to retain its privileges in Canada. The Bill will be read a third time tomorrow.
