Letter mails close .for the following placea as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— Mails per express to Dunedin and South close daily at 7 a.m_ and 11.10 a.m;; late fee (i.e., letters bearing Id additional stamp). 11.25 a.m.; also mail van up to 8 a.m. and guard's van 11.55 a~m. train. Books and newspapers, 7 a.m. and 10.10 «.m. FRIDAY, APRIL 23. For Dunedin, per Moeraki, at 11.10 a.m.; lato fee letters. 11.25 a._a.; guard's van, 12.10 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Wakatu, at 4.15 p.m.; late feo letter., 4.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. / For Northern Ports and Westport, per Mararoa, "at 4.15 p.m.; late ito letters. 4.30 p.m.; guard's van. 5.25 p.m. train. For _>ew South Wales and Queensland (due Sydney April 29th), per Mararoa, to connect with Mahcno. at 4.15 p.m.; lato fee letters, 4.30 p.m.; guard's van, 5.25 p.m. train. SATURDAY, APRIL 23. • For Australian States, (due Melbourne April SOth), per express, to connect with Moeraki, at 11.10 a.m.; late fee letters, 11.26 a.m.; guard's van, 11.55 a.m. train. For Dunedin direct, also Australian States, etc.. to connect with Moeraki, per Victoria, at 1.45 p.m.; late feo letters, 2 p.m.; guard's van, 2.45 p.m. train. tor Northern Ports and Westport, per Maori, ot 6.15 p.m.; late fee Utters. 6.30 p.m.; _u_r_ s van, 7.40 p.m. train; also per Hau.voto. at 7.20 p.m.; iate fee letters, 7.35 p.m.; guard's van, 9.15 p-m. train. The next mail from the United Kingdom, etc., is due in Christchurch on April 28th, as follow.-.:— Letters e.t 9 a.m., via Auckland; and n»wspaperu at 5.30 p.m., via Bluff. The next mail from the United States. Canada, etc.. via Vancouver,'is due in Christ-ehu.-ch about 2Gth April. . Mails for tho United Kingdom, etc., despatched froai Christchurch on 14th March, -via Vancouver, srrivod in London on 16th i-iit., one day early, and mail, despatched on l.»lh March, via San Francisco, arrived on 13th inst.. two d3j-s carlv.
