ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Store wethers and ewes sold about the same a* , the previous week, but lambs were easier. Fat lambs were firmer by about 0(1 per head. Fat cattle showed practically no change in values. Fat wethers and tho best clnss of ewes sold afc late rates, but inferior owes were rather cosier. There was a Rood sale for store and dairy cattle and pigs. STORE SHEEP. The yarding of store sheep was not equal jr. numbers to those of. recent sales, and the quality was again of mixed description. It was composed chiefly of ewes and lambs of fair an 1 medium quality. There "wea-e 284 head of fet cattlo penned, including a large draft of station cattle from North Canterbury, and the quality of the yarding wus up to the usual standard. Thero was a fair demand, and prices were unchanged till towards the close of tho sale, when the competition became weaker. Steers made £7 to £10, and. extra to £11 los, heifers £5 2s (xl to £8, and cows £4 17s (id to £7 ss, equal to 18s to 22s per 1001b, according to quality. Veal calves formed an average entry and soldet 4s 6d to 545. Among the" sales were:—For Pratt Bros. (St. James's), 67 steers at £G 7s 6d to £9 7s Gd, 2 heifers at £6 2s Gd; client, 5 steers at £10 10s to £11 los; G. G. Holmes (Pigeon Bay), 2 heifers at £5 2s 6d to £6 10s; J. P. Rudd (Greendale), 2 steers at £8 12s 7d, 18 heifers ot £5 10s to £8, and 2 coats at £7. STORE CATTLE. The yarding of store cattle, although only a small one, included three lines of nice fifteen to eighteen-month sorts and some superior yearlings. There was a representative attendance," and the demand was free, prices being on a par with those ruling a week earlier. Yearlings made 20s to 38s, fifteen to eighteen-month sorts 3os to £2 9s, twoyear steers £3 2s Gd, three-year steers £5 15s, extra good to £7 3s: threeyear heifers £3 5s to £4, and dry cows 30s to £3 10s. DAIRY COWS. The yarding of dairy cows was of good quality, and the competition was good throughout, representative prices ranging from £3 10s to £8 ss, extra making to £10. PIGS. There was an average entry of pigs. There was a fair demend for choppers and! bacouers, but porkers were a little easier, iStores showed some improvement. Choppers sold to GOs, heavy baconers 42s Gd to 48s, extra to 545, lighter 35s to 40k, equal to 3;M to 4<l per lb; large porkers 31s to 34?, lighter 28s to 3&S. equal, to Id to 4Jd per Jb; large stores 22s to 2fts, medium 10s t<» 21s. smaii 12s to los. and weam-rs 5s to Ba.
