Sir George Reid, speaking at the Municipal Corporation's dinner, said they all looked forward to the time ■when there vrould be not only British armies and fleete, but Imperial armies and Imperial fleets.. School children, he ureed, should be given compulsory education in the rudiments of military formation and evolutions.
