A CHARGE OF MURDER.

(FRXSS ASSOCIATION 1 TXUEGRAII.) WELLINGTON. March 30. Corkill, a bailiff, charged with tho murder of Christopher Smith in Pipitea street, several weeks ago, was to-day committed for trial, defence being reserved. ' The evidence given was the same as at the inquest, showing that the accused, who is an elderly man, went to the house in the execution of his duty, and had a scuffle with Smith, following on which it is alleged Corkill drew a small revolver and .shot Smith, who died almost immediately.
