BRITISH-NEW ZEALAND MEAT AND PRODUCE COMPANY.

Tlie sixth annual general meeting of shareholders in the British-New Zealand Meat and Produce Company will be held in the Chamber of Commerce at 3 p.m. on January oth, 19f0. The report to be submitted by the directors reads as follows:—

'In submitting the fifth annua] report anel balance-sheet for the ten months endeel 30th October, 1909, the directors have pleasure in reporting that the balance at credit of profit and loss account amounte to £3520 17s lOd, which they consider very satisfactory, and recommend that it be dealt with as follows:—In payment of _ elividend at the rate of 8 per cent, per annum, £1230 12s sd; in payment of balance preliminary expenses, £1000; in reduction .patent rights' defroster, £682 0s sd; and carry forw©r<. the balance, £608 55—£3,520 17s lCd. Tbo steady and substantial growth of the Company's business, which has increased e'.uring the ye>ar under review more than 100 per cent., is a matter for congratulation. The directors retiring by rotation are Messrs Horrell and Harlev, who, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election. The auditor, Mr G. W. Hulme, offers himself for re-election."
