LODGE MEETINGS.
The half-yearly meeting of the Mistletoe Lodge, No. 3 U.A.0.D., was held on November 29th. in the Druids' Hall, Worcester street, A.D. Bro. L. Barnard presiding over a largo attendance. Four new members were initiated. D.P. Bro. C. Ives was elected auditor. P.A. Bro. B. Falck, as one of the dispensary delegates, reported on the notice of motion to increase the subscription, and a motion that the lodge was not in favour of the motion was oarried, although the lodge's representatives were allowed a free handvin the matter of voting. The installation of Bro. A. Long as Worshipful Master of the Thistle Lodge, No. 113, Ashburton, took place on Tuesday evening. The ceremony was impressively performed by the M.W. Brother F. "C. Binns, Provincial Grand Master, assisted by Grand Lodge and Provincial Grand Lodge officers. The officers installed and invested were: —W.M., Bro. A. Long; 1.P.M., Wor. Bro. J. Harris; D.M., W. Bro. J. Mellor, P.M.; S.W., Bro. C Campbell; J.W., Bro. H. Mercer; D.C., W. Bro. T. Williams, P.M.; treasurer, W. Bro. F. B. Robilliard, P.M.; secretary, Bro. H. Curson; chaplain, W. Bro. S. Moor, P.M.; organist, Bro. H. A. Gates; S.D., Bro. F. H. Knight; J.D., Bro. C. S. Johnston; 1.G., Bto. L. Hill; steward, Bro. J. B. Elliott: tyler, Bro. C. Beech. The opportunity was taken to invest Bro. K. McKenzie as Provincial Grand Junior Warden, he having been unable to be present at the installation and investiture of officers at the Provincial Grand Lodge Meeting in Christchurch on November 24th. A summoned meeting of the Oak of Sydenham Lodge, No. 15, U.A.0.D., was held in the Friendly Societies' Hall, Hazeldean road, on November 24th, A.D. Bro. Gales presiding over a large attendance. It was decided to increase the medical officers of the District by two. Nominations then took place, and Drs. Brown and Barrie, were elected. Visitors of the evening were Bro. Thackwell (Pioneer), Bro. R. Hay (Eureka Lodge. Hastings), and Sister Frith (Queen of the Oak). The No. 1 No Surrender (Ladies'), L.0.L., met in the Orange Hall on November 24th. when a hearty welcome was extended by the President, Sister Voyce, to the members of the Grand Executive, also to Sisters Began and Eastwood, who have just returned from a visit _fco the Old Landr
