Ormond s letter on the subject of handicapping was received. The report of the sub-committee in reference to the question of accommodation in the Press gallery was approved. Th© Committee recommended that tho number of persons should be limited, and that application for admission should be advertised to clofe one week prior to tho Grand National Meeting. The Programme Committee (whose report was adopted) recommended that stakes for tho ensuing season should be increased by -3440, making a grand total of £"30.240, the increases being allotted as follows: — £ Grand National Meeting (details . already announced) .. ..710 Spring Meeting— Metropolitan Handicap .. 250 Stewards' Handicap .. ....
