The annual general meeting of the Cheviot Racing Club was held on Saturday, whan a balaricet-sheet showing a credit of £30 14s lOd was readand. adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr A. W. Rutherford; president, Mr W. T. Robinson; vice-presidents, Messrs E. D. Giles, Tho?. Chapmrtn. and W. Macfarlane; judge, Mr W. T. Robinson; starter, Mr Harry Thompson; clerk of course, Mr D. G. Johnston; clerks of scales, Messrs W. H. Moore nnd Thos. Sullivan; hon. surgeon, Dr. Bandera; time-keeper. Mr R. C. Wilson; handicapper, Mr W. McNaught; stewards, Messrs 6. W. Forbes, M.P., T. C. Robinson, R. C. Wilson, J. H. B. Oliver, B. Martin, H. McGilvany, J. Auld, F. Kelly, J. McGrath, C. W. Lee, J. Paton, P. Dalton, and H. Leaman; hon- treasurer, Mr J. ; H. B. Oliver; secretary, Mr L. E. Laugeeen. At a -meeting of the Chertsey Sporta and Racing Club, held on Saturday, Mr Laraman in the chair, the balancesheet presented for the year showed a crediit hrila.nce of £47 7s: Id, and that the race meeting held on Easter Mohdajf resulted in a profit of about £$. It is intended to arrange for the holding of an athletic sports meeting at the end of September. A cordial vote of together with an honorariqm, was passed, to the secretary and treaarurer in recognition of the highly satisfactory manner' in which th«5J had discharged their respective duties.' ■
