HASTIE, BULL AND PICKERING.
(Opposite Ballantyne's.) Many will to-day visit the excellent display made by the above firm of students' work from the Christ church. Technical College. On Tuesday last Sir Joseph "Ward inspected this exhibit, and! expressed' the greatest admiration and appreciation of the work, os showing the skill of the students and the thoroughness of the tuition at the College. The exhibit includes-specimen work from the cabinet-making, coachbuilding, plumbing, metal-working, and sign-writing classes, and Messrs Hastie, Bull and Pickering invite inspection of the larger pieces shown within their premises. These include the bureau in solidi oak, by E. Barrett, a third-year student who has been awarded for this piece of work the Seddon Memorial Gold Medal. This firm also shows locally made brushware and some excellent specimens of art pottery, painted and fired in Christchurch by Miss .E. Baird Luxton.
