The following aio the chief results of the fifth egg-laying competition under the ausmces of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club, nf Lincoln College, for the week ended 20th:— The number of ccrs laid during the week was 430, and tho total to date 1727. During tho week some of t'he highest numbers were as under: —F. R. Cameron (Napier), "White Leghorns, 29; H. Pannell (Hawko's Bay), do , 24: 0. H. Robinson (Christchiiroh), do., 22; Braokenfield Poultry Farm (Yaldhurst). do., 22; New Zealand Poultry Journal Institute (Christchureh), do., 21 • Mrs James Mills (Duaedin), do., '20; W. Balch (Belfast), 18; H. Barirctt (Leeston), Brown Loghorns, 1G; James Ash ton (Hanmer), Silver Wvandottes), 10; Miss E. Hearfi»ld (Addinfrton), Wh'ito leghorns, lo; R. "Willis and Son (New Brighton), do., 15. Seme of the best totals to date were: — Mrs -T. Milis 98, H. Pannell 03, New Zealand Poultry Journal Institute, 83; R. 11. Robinson". 77; Miss E. 73; W*. A.
