CHRISTCHURCH CENTRE,
A meeting of the Christchurch Centre of the New Zealand Bowling Association was held last-evening, Mr F. W. Johnston in the chair. A committee, consisting of Messrs Johnston and Saxton and Dr. Thomas, was appointed to consider the matter of the adjustment of byes in finals at tournaments, ar.d to report at the nest meeting of the Centre." The Ashburton club wrote, asking the officers of the Centre to attend a smoke concert, to be held in May. for .the purpose of presenting the Maddison championship trophies, and Messrs Johnston and Saxton were appointed to represent the Centre. A presentation was made to Mr F. A. Saxton by the president of the Centre, on behalf of the bowling team that played against Dunedin recently, as a token of appreciation of his efforts on their behalf whilst on tour.
