Taking Australia as a whole tho April issue of the "Pastorulists' "Review"), the season can be called vtry good*—-excellent in parts, modernto in parts, and had'only in one or two small jireas. -In Queensland it is good, with the exception of tho Eastern Darling Downs, which is in a bad. condition and- suffering from drought. New South "Wales is nearly all g-od—rain , however is wanted: in the west and in tho Riverina to give the lambing ewes a chance. "West of the Darling mat- * ters in parte are becoming critical. Victoria is all right ot present, but a good fall of rain before the winter wonM be welcome. South Australia lis the. worst off; site wants rain in nearly all parts. Stock are being . and; unless a.good fall comes aoon things will become critical. Western Australia and Tasmania are practically all right. Taken nil round, there is little to grumble at.
