CASUALTIES.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION' TELEGRAMS.) STRATFORD, April 30. Emmett Boyle, aged four and a half years, son of Mr Thoma3 'Boyle, schoolmaster, on tho Pembroke road, was instantaneously killed yesterday afternoon through an accidental discharge of a gun picked up by a neighbour's child, aged seven. AUCKLAND, April 30. Mr Percy Hardie, son of Mr llardie, of the firm of Messrs Hardie Bros., left Waimai this morning in company with a friend, Mr Upton, to shoot game. Mr Upton got off the buggy and Mr Hardie drove on a short distance. Mr Upton followed the buggy, which he found overturned and Mr Hardie underneath, dead. Evidently death was caused by th«* capsize, v ASH BURTON, April 30. An inquest was held at Ash burton yesterday, before Mr V. G. Day, S.M., on the body of George Waddoll, a telegraph lineman, aged 53, who was found dead in his tent at Ealing early yesterday morning, and "who had gone to bed the previous night in his usual health. Dr. Mullin made a post-mortem examination, and found that deceased had suffered at times from kidney and liver trouble. A verdict was returned accordingly.
