CASUALTIES.
Geo. "Waddell, a telegraph lineman, aged o(i years, was found dead in bed at Ealing yesterday. Constable O : Grady went out from Ashbiirton and bad the body conveyed to the Ashbiirton morgue. It is understood deceased has a -wife and family living in ChrLstchtircb. The cause of death is supposed to have been heart disease. Mr Thos. Stalker, Orari, met with a, rteribus burn ing accident on Monday night at Rangltata river. He was occupying one of the huts and on reaching across a table he knocked over a Rochester lamp. The floor of the hut was speedily in flames, and Mr Stalker was badly burned about the legs and head before he could make his escape. The hut was burned to the ground and a motor car standinc;'alongside was de-stroyi-d. The. injured.man was conveyed ,to his home at Orari, where he received medical attention.
