PARISHIONERS' MEETINGS.
BURWOOD. Tho annual mooting of parishioners of Burwood was held on. Tuesday last, the vicar in the chair. The balancesheet showed a credit balance of a few shillings. Tho chairman congratulated these present upon the completion of the parish hall, and gave a brief summary of the work of the year. Mr Davidson was nominated as ministers warden, and Mr M. Lsherwooil was nominated as parishioners' warden. The following were nominated ae> v<vrtiymen:—Messrs A. F. Farrar, W. Edwards, F. Isherwood, R. Speight, J Parish, W. Bampton, J. Liggins, E. Knowles. J. Campbell nnd K. McClurg. Th-e following wero appointed a parish roimcil to assist the vestry:— Mc-iklames Imvood, Dixey, Rogers, Brown and Ishe-rwcod, Mieees Bi.smau, Muff and .Mercer, and tho Rev. W. F. Knowles. with Messrs T. Edwards and R. Hayward.
TJio parish hall, used for tlw first time for an Easter meeting, is a roomy and well-appointed building. The main hnW has matins; accommodation for •about 200 people.. At the back of tho etup'j* nro two dreesing-rooms, and liehind them a room for u?o as a guild j'fom and kitchen. Funds hare- come in very well for tho building, although there is still work to bo done in lining the interior. Mr Rfdlev was the contractor, and Mr W. Edwards supervised tho erection.
