ASHBURTON PRODUCE SALES.

At tho Ashburton produce sales on Saturday the following prices were realised : —Poultry—Hens Is 6d to 2s 9d per pair, cockerels Is 5d each. Fowlwheat 10s to 13s per sack, apples Id to 2jd per lb, peaches 6s to 7s per case, plums ljd to 2d per lb, onions 3d to., lid per lb, tomatoes 2d to 2jd per lb. Messrs Pyne and Co., at their land rooms, on Saturday, sold by public auction the following properties:—On account Mr C. T. Dudley, freehold property known as the Taraghur Estate, situated at Glentunnel, comprising 760 acres, sold to Mr G. J. Smith, £6 per acre; on account the Messrs Humphreys and Eden, hotel property known as the Ellesmere Arms, Tai Tapu, sold to Mr John McKenzio for £2700; also, 21 acres adjoining the hotel, sold to Mr W. E. Simes at £56 per acre.
