ASHBURTON-METHVEN TRAIN
The following letter has been received by Mr E. Mahood, of Methven, from, the Minister of Railways:—"l am in receipt of your letter of the 12th inst., with reference to the request made to mc by the deputation which waited upon mc recently at Ashburton in regard to expediting the departure of the early train from Ashburton to Christchurch. I note what you represent in your letter, and the matter will be carefully considered before a decision is arrived at." '
