A BANKRUPT ARRESTED.
(fbibi association telegram.) NAPIER, March 15. last week Tudor Baker, shoepfarmor and commission agent, filed a petition in bankruptcy. HLs statement showed liabilities ■ totalling £11,191 ajid asiots £3357. Arising out of an examination of tho bankrupt at a mooting of creditors, tbo Official Assignee issued a warrant for the arrest of Baker on o charge of failing to keep proper books of account.- Accused was arrested at Takapa.i on Saturday and was brought before the Magistrate to-day, being remanded for seven day.? on a bail of £200. At a meot-inp of exeditors Baker adntitted that ho had not kept any books and did not knmv hovr to kco-p them.
