At the Rangiora Court on Tuesday, Mr V. (i. Day, S.M., and Mr E. R. Good, J.P.j presided. In R. Lloyd (Mr Frazer) v. Cust Co-operative Dairy. Company, Limited (Mr Van A_ch), plaintiff claimed £24 3s 5_ for butter fat sold and delivered. The defendant company counter claimed £30 2s !)■'■, on the ground that if tho defendant company did not lease its factory, Lloyd would supply tho milk of twenty-live cows, and the company decided not to make such lease, but Lloyd failed to supply tho yield of twenty-five cows, estimated on a basts of 200 ibs of butter fat for each animal. The Magistrate garo judgment for plaintiff for £24 3s 5d and on tho counter cLaim for defendants for tho some amount, tho parties to pay their own costs. Plaintiff -was allowed £2 10s and tho defendant conipanv £2 3s. In Mrs E. Tavlor (Mr Frazer) v. W. A. Collett (Mr Brown), claim £28 Is, balance upon a bill of salo of £82 15s, there was a counter claim lodged for work, point, pigs, etc., for £22 ,Cs 7d. After hearing defendant's evidence, tho Magistrate- adjourned, the case till March oth to allow of set off being filed by plaintiff upon tho counter claim. In the case of Livingsfcono v. Livingstone, which was discontinued, the application of Mr Van Asch, on b.half of dclendoiit, for costs was refused'
